Okay. I'm frustrated and annoyed. I have been trying to communicate with Kindle Select and I'm ready to jump off a cliff (perhaps a bit dramatic, but you get the point.) I joined KDP Select in Dec. This gave me 5 free days. The three month period went from early Dec to early Mar.
I coordinated my free days with a Kindle Nation Day promotion. The first date available for this promotion was Mar 26th. Consequently, three of my five days were used in promotions leading up to this: March 24, 25, and two were used before this. I also scheduled a free day before a promotion I have scheduled for May.
Mid march started my next three month period in which I expected to receive five more free days, I was denied them because, according to KDP, I've already used them. The free days I used for my first three months counted as free days for my second three months( since I used them after early March. I was left with one free day for the next three months.
I write to Kindle Direct, since they have no phone support. Several times, the answers I received answered a different question--one that I'd never asked. The newest email address still didn't address my main point.
I called Amazon, and a staff associate took my question and contacted KDP for me. I received an answer--which was off the mark.
I just need to speak to one person. One time. One would think that KDP was big enough that they would have phone support. Grrr.
I have a friend who knows the Vice President of Amazon's KDP. Perhaps I can get one simple answer to this question:
WHY DOES KDP HAVE NO PHONE SUPPORT?
