AN EXERCISE ON EXERCISE

I can't do it. I'm a disciplined person. I get up everyday at 5:00 and write through the day, usually finishing between 6 and 7PM. Bravo. That's discipline. I used to go to the gym daily and swim. Then I started to feel that going, swimming, dressing, etc, took too much time away from writing. I quit that gym and joined Curves, the 30 minute workout, 5 blocks from my house.
That should be the happy ending. I get up, I do my tweets, WLC, Triberr, answer email, go to the gym, come back, write. But suddenly, out of the blue, has come a major resistance to working out.
We have an elliptical at home and a bow flex unit. No. I won't do them. I could walk my puppy who would love me even more for doing so. Nope. Can't.  Dance around the house? Do yoga? No, sorry, not today.
My favorite part of exercising is the part where I get to say goodbye as I leave. Hmm. What does a person do who, in theory wants to excercise, but doesn't do it?
I was going to make myself go this morning. First, at 7:30, then 7:45, then 8. It is now 8:01. What's a women to do?
Perhaps in a follow up, I'll be able to say, "Hi, I'm just back from the gym." But for now, I'm thinking I'll go at 8:15, or maybe not.
PS: It's 10:21 now. Nope. Didn't go. :(

I so relate to this, Robbie. I hope you get over the hump. I'm still working on getting over it myself.
